Lectio: Lk 9.22-25

Meditatio: “Then he [Jesus] said to everyone: ‘If anyone is willing to come after me: let him deny himself, and take us his cross every day, and follow me’.” Lk 6.23

Oratio: "O God, You have given us a direct way to Your kingdom.

I remember Jesus Your way involved denying one self and taking up our cross each day and following Jesus.

Grant that I may strive to do Your will (my cross) and walk the talk where Jesus leads for this will certainly lead to You.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on how well I walk the talk of peace and justice. Resolve to be more aware of the corporal works of mercy and to practice them.
Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 9.14-15
