Lectio: Mt 17.1-9
Meditatio: “And he [Jesus] was transfigured before them, his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light.” Mt 17.2
Oratio: "O God, You show us divine signs when we really need them.
I remember Jesus granted Peter, James and John a vision of His glory with Moses and Elijah as a sign of His divinity for them.
Grant that I may always see Your divine sign whenever I see the Eucharist exposed for It is truly Christ and the gold rays are like the sun and the consecrated host is like translucent light when it is on display - Your transfiguration for us.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect on Jesus exposed on the altar in the monstrance. See in it Christ’ presence and his transfiguration for us and rejoice that He has drawn near and has so privileged us.
Tomorrow’s reading - Lk 6.36-38
P.S. I will be away visiting my grandson, his wife and my great grandson in Sweden next week. I will resume this emailing when I return on the 29th. I will remember all of you in my daily masses.
