3/15/11

Lectio: Lk 11.29-32

Meditatio: “Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation.” Lk 11.30

Oratio: "O God, our humanity cries out for signs of Your presence and Your will.

I remember Jesus told the crowd that the only sign He would give them was the sign of Jonah - an effective call to repentance - and He did.
Grant that I may be open to Your Son’s call for repentance and the many signs of You and of Him.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on my efforts to reform my life and on the many signs God has given me of his presence. And then rejoice in how wonderful God has provided for me.
Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 7.7-12
