Lectio: Mt 18.21-35

Meditatio: “Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had on you?”
Mt 18.33

Oratio: "O God, Your mercy is without end - but there is one condition to accessing it.

I remember Jesus told a parable about forgiveness and the bottom line was Your mercyt must be shared otherwise it will be withdrawn.
Grant that I may respond to Christ’s warning to be merciful for therein lies my dignity.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on the two components of love - nourishing and forgiving. Resolve to love both ways otherwise I will not be true to who I am - God’s child.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 5.17-19
