3/13/11

Lectio: Mt 25.31-46

Meditatio: “And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me’.” Mt 25.40

Oratio: "O God, what a marvelous dignity You have bestowed upon us - Your Son in us.
I remember Jesus in His parable of the last judgment made it clear that He was present in the “least” person and whenever we ministered to them, we ministered to Him.
Grant that I may readily see Christ in the face of the poor and the oppressed and the outcast.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on those whom I know are in need. Is there anyone of them whom I avoid because they are disagreeable or unpleasant? If so, resolve to reach out to them for Christ is there in them waiting for me.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 6.7-15
