3/30/11

Lectio: Lk 11.14-20

Meditatio: “But if it is by the finger of God that [I] drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” Lk 11.20

Oratio: "O God, You are constantly at work in our world and Your works are obvious but we are often blind to Your work.

I remember large crowds saw Jesus work many miracles and yet the learned among them ascribed His work to the Prince of the demons - how obtuse they were.

Grant that I may not be blind to Your works by the secular atmosphere which surrounds me.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on the doubts that I have from time to time and resolve when they come, to walk in the light of faith and not allow myself to be blinded by the light of the world.
Tomorrow’s reading - Mk 12.28-34
