Lectio: Mt 9.1-8
Meditatio:”Which is easier, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise and walk'." Mt 9.5
Oratio: O God, how hard it seems to us for the people of Jesus' time to believe and to forget how He showed His authority. In prayer thank the evangelists for recording His words and actions so we know in one source all the proofs that Jesus is the Son of God.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.
Operatio: reflect: "easier...forgive...rise"; what a demonstration Jesus did to counter the scribes' charge that He was blaspheming. Seek to know Scripture well so as to uplifted by what a God we have in Jesus and what a man, too.
