7.18.15

Lectio: Mk: 6.30-34

Meditatio: “When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.” Mk 6.34

Oratio: O God, how merciful You are. You knew we could not find You on our own so You sent Jesus to show us the Way, the Truth and the Life and He did.  He became our Good Shepherd. Pray to always accept the guidance of the Good Shepherd for He will lead us Home if we accept Him.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “heart...moved...pity...without shepherd”; the ‘other’ was always Jesus first concern and He put aside His need and that of His disciples to minister to those who came to Him in their need. Seek the grace to follow the directions of Jesus for He will lead and guide you to the kingdom.

Tomorrow's reading: Mt 12.38-42
