7.25.15
Lectio: Jn 6.1-5
Meditatio: “When Jesus raised his eyes and saw that a large crowd was coming to him, he said to Philip, ‘Where can we buy enough food for them to eat’?: Jn 6.5
Oratio: O God, Your Son revealed a very important point for disciples in His miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes for He indicated plainly that He is with His disciples in their missions for He used the “We” in asking Philip about food for the crowd. In prayer seek the grace to rememember that all we do for the Lord we do for and with Him and without Him we can do nothing.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.
Operation: reflect: "Jesus...crowd....where can we”; Jesus made in it clear that the mission He gives to His discples He will be with them. Seek the grace to respond to a need even if greater than the resources one has for Jesus is with us on our mission and with Him we will bring about the fruit that the desires.
Tomorrow's reading:Mt 13.31-35
