Lectio: Mt 9.18-26
Meditatio: “While he was saying these things to them, an official came forward, knelt down before him, and said, ‘My daughter has just died, But come, lay your hand on her, and she will live’.”Mt 9.18
Oratio: O God, what faith some had in Jesus. On one occasion Jesus was asked to lay His hand on a dead little girl so that she may live. He did and she came back to life. Wow! Pray for even a smidgen of the faith of that official.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.
Operatio: reflect: “official...daughter...died, lay...hand...will live”; the official’s daughter had just died and he asked Jesus to lay His hand on her so she would live; and to amazement of all, his faith was greatly rewarded with her life. Seek the grace of a faith so as to live always in the love of God.
Tomorrow's reading:Mt 9.32-38
