7.29 & 7.30.15

7.29.15

Lectio:  Mt 13.47-53

Meditatio: “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind." Mt 13.47

Oratio: O God, Your Son came to include all in the kingdom; but He expects us to accept the invite by the way we live. Pray that your acceptance is a true one which will allow God to keep you in the end.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operation: reflect: "kingdom ...net...collects ... every kind"; all are welcome to God's kingdom; but all must accept.  Seek the grace to be a person of selfless love for that is the best way to show acceptance.

Tomorrow's reading:Mt 13.54-58

7.30.15

Lectio:  Mt 13.54-58

Meditatio: “And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith." My 13.58

Oratio: O God, Jesus requires so little of us but He does expect us to have faith in Him. Pray for a strong faith and an active one so as to please Jesus who is so deserving of all our love.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You.
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operatio:  reflect: "not work...lack...faith"; Jesus performed miracles to bring people to faith who are open to Him; sadly the people of His home town rejected Him and He did not work many miracles there.  Seek the grace to realize the mystery of every person and realize as Jesus revealed to us that He may be present even in the outcast; and treat others with dignity and respect and Jesus one day will work the greatest of miracles for us; eternal life in His kingdom.

Tomorrow's reading:Mt 14.1-2
