Lectio: :Mt 13.31-35
Meditatio: “All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables.. He spoke to them only in parables.” Mt 13.34
Oratio: O God, Your Son wanted the people to think about what He was saying and so He used a wonderful teaching technique - telling parables for they are teaching stories which cause people to think and look for their meaning in the underlying point and not in the surface line of the story. Pray that I may be always inquisitive as to what Jesus is telling me in the Bible and to readily put it into practice or into my beliefs
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.
Operation: reflect: "Jesus spoke....parables”; Jesus used story telling as a way to get His message across to the people and to make it easier for them to remember His message. Seek the grace to be open to the Word of God as revealed in scripture or as proclaimed by the Church for such openness will enable us to follow the right path to the eternal life and please God in the journey.
Tomorrow's reading: Mt 13.36-43
