Lectio: Mt 18.12-14
Meditatio: “In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.” Mt 18.14
Oratio: "O God, Your love for us is beyond belief.
I remember Jesus told the parable of the good shepherd leaving 99 sheep in search of one that strayed to illustrate God’s great concern for all and the joy it brings when the one who is lost is found for it is not Your will that anyone be lost.
Grant that I may always remember Your great love for me and allow it to penetrate to the core of my being.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect today on the great love God has for me and allow myself to bask in that love with joy and then give thanks to God for loving me so.

- I was ordained for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 15, 1993. I am a widower with 8 children and 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. On July 1, 2014 I began my residence at St Mathew Parish in Philadelphia, PA. My last assignment was pastor of St.Elizabeth Ann Seton in Bensalem, PA since November of 1999. I have created this Blog in response to Pope Benedict XVI's recommendation that Priest use modern means of communications to reach out to people with the Good News. I publish daily my Lectio Divina efforts via a group email. I will publish such efforts from time to time to this site as well as other pertinent info about the Good News of Jesus Christ or issues which are contrary to the Good News. What is Lectio Divina? Lectio Divina is the Study of and Meditation on Sacred Scripture. The steps include: Reading (Lectio),- Pondering (Meditatio); Praying (Oratio) and Silence(Contemplatio). I use the daily Lectionary as the source of readings.
