Lectio: Mt 9.27-31

Meditatio: “Then he [Jesus] touched their eyes and said, ‘Let it be done for you according to your faith’.” Mt 9.29

Oratio: "O God, how blind we are to Your works.

I remember Jesus restored the sight to two blind men by simply touching their eyes because of their faith, but so many of their contemporaies failed to come to faith in Jesus.

Grant that I may be open to the many extraordinary events that You have performed throughout the ages and gratefully say, ‘I believe.’

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on “faith” - a gift from God; moves mountains; blind see; cripples walk; dead rise; pray always and give thanks for the gift of faith and for the many miracles that Jesus or His mother have granted us both now and throughout the ages.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 9.35-101, 5a, 6-8
