12/11/11

Lectio: Lk 1.26-38

Meditatio: “Mary said, ‘Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.’ Then the angel departed from her.” Lk 1. 38

Oratio: "O God, You know all things and You want only the good for us and we will have it if we do Your will.

I remember Mary did You will and she became the mother of Your Son - wow!

Grant that I may always say ‘Yes’ to Your will and do so with alacrity and love.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on “will” - ability to choose; to act; to achieve God’s will or to frustrate it; Pray that I may always ask WWJD before acting and then to what He would do.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 21.28-32
