Lectio: Mk 1.1-8

Meditatio: “I have baptized you with water but he [Jesus] will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” Mk 1.8

Oratio: "O God, what a life you bestowed upon us through baptism!

I remember Jesus baptized with the Holy Spirit - with Your Spirit - and we became Your children - wow!

Grant that I may be ever grateful for the great privilege of having Your life bestowed upon me at my baptism.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on “Baptism” - a sacrament, God’s life bestowed; action of the Holy Spirit, a privilege beyond price. In prayer continually express thanks for the gift of baptism and for the friendship with God that is offers.

Tomorrow’s reading - Lk 1.26-38
