Lectio: Lk 7.24-30

Meditatio: “This is the one about whom scriptures says: ‘Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, he will prepare your way before you’.” Lk 7.17

Oratio: "O God, we all have a role to play in Your plan for our salvation.
I remember Jesus declared John the Baptist’s role and he was given the role to prepare the way for Jesus - the promised Elijah.

Grant that I may perform the role given to me to live in accordance with the law of love.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on “messenger” - one who conveys info to another; the message of Christ is a call to selfless lover; Resolve to strive to be Christ’s message to those whose lives I touch and strive to be a selfless lover for them.
