Lectio: Lk 1.26-38

Meditatio: “Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him, Jesus.” Lk 1.31

Oratio: "O God, You are a God of surprises!

I remember You deigned that Your Son become a man through the instrument of a woman and through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Grant that I may be open to the many surprises Your Son has in store for me including giving His mother to me and more!

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on “Behold”- a greeting of Gabriel; an invitation; directed to Mary; her response - “Yes!” How awesome that the Son of God became incarnate through the womb of Mary. In prayer thank God for the awesome gift of His child through baptism and the power of the Holy Spirit.
