Lectio: Lk 17.20-25

“For just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky form one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be [in his day].” Lk 17.24

“O God, Your Son promised to come again - and we are anxious less we miss Him.
I remember Jesus declared that when He comes again, His coming will be spectacular like lightning.

Grant that I may be content with Your Son’s daily coming in the Eucharist for that is really enough.

I ask this of You who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.

Operatio: Reflect on “the coming of Christ” - historical coming; his second coming; His daily coming in the Eucharist. In prayer thank God for sending His Son to me daily for as St. Leo the Great said that we become what we eat. How marvelous!

Tomorrow’s readings: Lk 18.1-8
