11/29/11

Lectio: Mt 4.18-22

Meditatio: “At once they left their nets and followed him.” Mt 4.20

Oratio: "O God, You invite all to follow Your way and some as their daily work to lead others to You.

I remember Jesus first invited Peter and Andrew to follow Him and they immediately did and left their former daily work to do so to help Him in His daily work.
Grant that I may always answer Jesus’ call to follow Him and especially in serving Him by serving the needs of those need to know of His love for them.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on “following Jesus” - His wants and not my wants; His will not mine wherever, whomever and whenever. Pray for the grace to always hear and heed His call and persevere in answering Him day by day.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 7.21, 24-27
