11/19/11

Mt 25.31-46

"and the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers, you did for me’.” Mt 25.40

"O God, You have made it so easy for us to server You here on earth.

I remember when Jesus spoke to His disciples about the last judgment, He told them that whatever they did for the least person, they did for Him - How easy to know who and what to do here on earth to have Him invite us to His eternal kingdom.

Grant that I may always remember that Jesus identifies with the poor, the outcast, the oppressed, and that I may willingly and routinely respond to their needs.

I ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Operatio: Reflect on “final judgment” - a review by God of what I did in life for Him; a finding by Him as to whether I served the anawin in my life; a determination by Jesus as to whether I will enter His kingdom. Resolve to keep in mind that whatever I do for the least, I do for Jesus for as Mother Teresa of Calcutta said that she saw the face of Jesus in the poor that she served everyday in the streets; and if I do, I will have a ticket that will admit me to heaven.

Tomorrow’s reading: Lk 21.1-4
