Lectio: Lk 17.26-37

“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man.” Lk 17.26

“O God, we do not know the day or the hour when Your Son will come - yet we live as thought it will never happen - How sad! How tragic!

I remember Your Son told His followers that His coming will be like the ‘great flood’ at the time of Noah; or like the ‘fire and brimstone’ at Sodom; no one expected it to their utter destruction!

Grant that I may live each day as though it were the last one and abide and live in accordance with your great Law of Love.

I ask this of You who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.

Operatio: Reflect on “day of the Son of Man’ - second coming at the end of time; His coming at the end of my life; in prayer thank God for the His Son and for His Son’s give of resurrected life if we simply believe and live out that belief!
