8.12.12 Lectio: Ez 1.2-5,24-28c Meditatio: "such was th vision of the likeness of the glory of the Lord,” Ez 1.28c Oratio: " O God, although You are beyond our comprehension, You give us glimpses of Your glory. I remember You gave Your prophet, Ezekiel, a spectacular glimpse of Your glory when he was standing on the banks of the River Chebar in Babylonia and he struggled to describe Your glory for it is indescribable. Grant that I may realize that glimpses of Your glory are in created things that surround me and may I always rejoice in Your glory. I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes. Operatio: reflect on "glory of the Lord;” His appearance; cannot be comprehend; nor fully captured by us; in prayer thank God for being so gracious so as to reveal His glory to us who so unworthy of it. Tomorrow's reading: Ez 2.8-3.4
