8.14.12 Lectio: Rv11.19a; 12.1-6a,10ab Meditatio: "A great sign appeared in the sky. A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” Rv 12.1 Oratio: " O God, You know our faith waivers at times and You wonderfully provide Your Son’s mother as a sign for us. I remember John proclaimed in his Book of Revelations there would be a great sign in the sky - a woman! And down through the ages Mary has been that sign for us. Grant that I may be ever grateful to Mary for her many appearances which are so assuring for our faith. I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes. Operatio: reflect on "woman, clothed with the sun”; Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Fatima; the many Marian appearances; in prayer than God for allowing Mary to appear to us so often so that our weak faith would be strengthened. Tomorrow's reading: Ez 12.1-12
