Lectio:  Mk 10.2-12                                                 

Meditatio: “The Pharisees approached and asked, ‘Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?’... Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate’.” Lk 10.2,9

Oratio: O God, Jesus made it clear that marriage is for a life time for that is what God intended from the beginning. Couples who have been married for many years show that a life time commitment is possible and it very possible if the couple receives the sacrament of matrimony. Pray for all married couples that they may live the sign the sacrament and manifest a love which reflects Jesus’ love for His church and they will be richly blest.....

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operation: reflect: "lawful....divorce...God...joined...no human...separate”; Jesus in His reply to the Pharisees made it clear that divorce is not God’s intention and the sacrament of matrimony provides the grace to live a life long commitment. May all married couples seek the grace of the sacrament and their life together will be a mutual blessing.
