10.04.15

Lectio:  Lk 10.25-37

Meditatio: “Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robber’s victim? He answered, ‘The one who treated him with mercy.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Go and do likewise’.” Lk 10. 36-37

Oratio: O God, Jesus made it clear who our neighbors are! All who are in need and who are within our orbit of influence are our neighbors - even those whom we would consider outsiders.  Pray for a merciful heart and to allow God to use us as His instruments of mercy to those who are in need and whose lives we touch for that is the way to fulfill the Great Law of Love.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operation: reflect: "neighbor....robber’s victim...one....mercy”; Jesus in His dialogue with a lawyer defined who our neighbors are - everyone especially those who are in need. Seek the grace to see the other for who they are and treat all with mercy and God will be greatly pleased.
Tomorrow's reading: Lk 10.38-42
