10.05.15

Lectio: Lk 10.38-42

Meditatio: As they continued their journey he entered a village where a woman whose name is Martha welcomed him.” Lk 10.28

Oratio: O God, Martha welcomed Jesus but her sister simply sat at his feet and listened to Him. And Jesus declared that Mary had chosen the greater role.  Pray for an understanding heart for Jesus values that above all for it reaches out to our inmost needs and heals the other where food cannot reach and it is a gift that trumps hospitality.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operation: reflect: "Martha...welcomed him............”; Jesus preferred Mary’s role of a listener over Maltha’s role of a hospitable host.. Seek the grace to see the spiritual needs of another have a greater priority than their temporal needs’ and do your best to satisfy both.

Tomorrow's reading:Lk 11.1-4
