10.07.15

Lectio: Lk 11.5-13

Meditatio: “If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" Lk 11.13

Oratio: O God, Your Son instructed us to pray with confidence and with the openness of a child, knowing the Heavenly Father will give us only what is for our good and in the manner He deems best and when He deems best. Pray that your will is in conformity with Jesus' will for then you will certainly receive what you ask the Father.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what God speaks to you,

Operation: reflect: "wicked...good gifts....much more...Father"; Jesus made it clear that His Father will only give us good gifts in answer to our prayers. Seek the grace to always pray with confidence of a child to our Father and we will not be disappointed.
