11.09.15

 Lectio: Lk 17.7-10

Meditatio: “So it should be with you, When you have done all you have been commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants, we have done what we are obliged to do’.” Lk 17.10

Oratio: O God, Jesus made it clear that as servants we are to do more than commanded otherwise we will be unprofitable ones. Pray to serve the Lord with your whole heart with your whole soul and your whole strength - to go the extra mile - and so to begin to please the Lord.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operatio: reflect: "done all...unprofitable servant”; a savant is required to do duties given to him and therefore gets no credit for simply doing it but is commended if he or she goes beyond. Seek the grace to serve God to the extent of your time and talent and that is the best way to be
a commendable servant and pleasing to Him
