Lectio: Lk 21.12-19
Meditatio: "Before all this happens, however, they will seize and persecute you, they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons, and they will have you led before kings and governors because of my name."

Oratio: O God, before the end of time Jesus has foretold that there will be a great persecution because of Him but He also told us that He would be there for us and help us defend us. Seek the grace of final perseverance relying on Jesus to help us do so.
Contemplatio: Spend some time with today's text and see how the Lord is speaking to you.
Operatio: reflect: "happens.,,hand...over...name"; the end of time will happen and great persecutions will happen before the end. The prospects are fearsome but Jesus assures us He will be there for us. Seek the grace to put our trust in the Lord in all matters and live in peace and not in fear for that is what Jesus wants for us.

Oratio: O God, at the end of time Jesus will come in glory and it will be the best of times for our redemption will be at hand. Pray to remain faithful to the end.
Contemplatio: Spend some time with today's text and see how the Lord is speaking to you.
Operatio: reflect: "see...Son of Man...power...glory"; the end of time, as we know it, will see Jesus coming in His great majesty. Seek the grace to be always ready for Jesus' coming for it is for our everlasting happiness.

Lectio Divina is the Study of and Meditation on Sacred Scripture. The steps include: Reading (Lectio),- Pondering (Meditatio); Praying (Oratio) and Silence(Contemplatio). I use the daily Lectionary as the source of readings.
