11.20.15

 Lectio: Lk 20.27-40

Meditatio: “but those who are deemed worthy to attain to the coming age and to the resurrection of the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.” Lk 20.35

Oratio: O God, The Sadducees, who do not believe in the Resurrection, tried to trap Jesus with a question about whose wife a woman would be who married seven times here on earth. Your Son rebutted them by revealing that in heaven we neither marry or are given in marriage. Pray for the dead during this month of the Holy Souls so that they have he fullness of eternal life.

Contemplatio: Spend some time with today's text and see how the Lord is speaking to you.

Operatio: reflect: "sadduceess...not believe....Resurrection..tried...trap Jesus”; How foolish to try to trap Your Son in matters of truth! And Jesus in His reply to them affirmed a marvelous truth - Resurrection and a glimpse at heavenly relationships. Seek the grace of a grateful heart to Jesus for having revealed so much to us and what we must doto  attain to life everlasting where peace, joy and happiness is an eternal state.

Tomorrow's reading: Jn 18.33b-27
