11.18. & 11.19.15

11.18 15

 Lectio: Lk 19.41-44

Meditatio: “As he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, saying 'If this day you only knew what makes for peace - but now it is hidden from your eyes . " Lk 19.41-42

Oratio: O God, sadly the people, because of its religious leaders, did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah and Prince of Peace, their generation would see the destruction of Jerusalem. Pray that in the trouble times we are now living that we see what makes for peace.

Contemplatio: Spend some time with today's text and see how the Lord is speaking to you.

Operatio: reflect: "saw ... wept..only knew...peace"; the Jewish people failed to recognize the Messiah and devastation ensued.  Seek the grace to follow the promoting of the Spirit to lead us in the ways of peace, today.

 Tomorrow's reading: Lk 19.45-48

11.19.15

 Lectio: Lk 19.45-48

Meditatio: “Then Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out those who were selling things." Lk 19.45

Oratio: O God, when Jesus cleaned out the Temple area those who were selling there, the religious leaders could not understand why, and they wanted to kill Him because He was interrupting business of which they were getting a share. Pray that I may always treat Church as a House of prayer and use it only for that purpose.

Contemplatio: Spend some time with today's text and see how the Lord is speaking to you.

Operatio: reflect: "Jesus...temple...drive out...selling"; zeal for His House consumed Jesus.  Seek the grace to be similarly consumed with respect and show always the right decorum.

Tomorrow's reading: Lk 20.27-40
