LEGISLATIVE ALERT!

The Heath Care Reform Reconciliation Bill is scheduled to be acted upon by the House of Representatives on Sunday and then by the Senate later this week. The bill will allow federal funding for abortions for the first time. The Federal government has always refrained from doing. Urge both Congressman Murphy and Senator Bob Casey to follow the Catholic Conference of Bishops recommendation and protect the health of the unborn and vote . “No!” You can easily email them by going to our parish web site: www. seasparish.info and click on the “Contact your Representatives” button. This will give you direct access to their web sites. Do act now! Tomorrow may be too late!

Lectio - Jn 8.1-11

Meditatio: “Then Jesus said, ‘Neither do I condemn you. God [and] from now on do not sin any more’.” Jn 11, b,c

Oratio: "O God, your mercy trumps justice.

I remember Jesus showed mercy to the woman caught in adultery rather than having the punishment required by law meted out to her. He did so to give her another start.

Grant that I may imitate Your Son and readily forgive and extend mercy to those who hurt me.

I ask this of you, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will refrain from judging others letting judgment be the Lord’s.

Note: Tomorrow’s selection is from Jn 8.12-20
