12.10.12
Lectio: Is 40.1-11

Meditatio: "Like a shepherd he feeds his flock; in his arms he gathers the lambs carrying them close to his bosom, and leading the ewes with care." Is 40.11

Oratio: "O God, what a wonderful and true image the prophet, Isaiah, gave of You!

I remember Your prophet, Isaiah, declared that You were like a shepherd with the lambs in Your arms and the ewes following You - what a tender and loving picture!
Grant that I may always keep in mind that You are the Good Shepherd and for the grace to follow You wherever You lead me.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "shepherd"; overseer; leader; guardian; protector of a flock; in prayer thank God for being the Good Shepherd for all of us and for the grace to readily and always heed His voice.
Tomorrow's reading: Is Zec 2.14-17
