12.11.12

Lectio: Rev 11.19a, 12.1-6a, 10ab

Meditatio: "a great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars." Rev 12.1

Oratio: "O God, from of old and even unto today You provide signs so that our faith might be reinforced.

I remember You gave us the sign of Your mother’s miraculous imprint on the tunic of Juan Diego in 1531 which can still be seen today to bring to faith the Mexican people; and indeed all people who have viewed or heard of it.

Grant that whenever doubts about my fath creep into my mind that I may readily remember our Lady’s many appearance including at Guadalupe and at Fatima, so that my doubts will be easily dismissed.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "woman clothed in the sun"; the image of our Blessed Mother’s on Juan Diego’s tunic. In prayer thank our Blessed Mother for always being there for us to reinforce our belief in her Son’s message.

Tomorrow's reading: Is 41.13-20
