Lectio: Zep 3.14-18a                   
Meditatio: "The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a mighty savior; He will rejoice over you with gladness and renew you in his love. He will sing joyfully because of you." Zep 3.17

Oratio: "O God, You do not abandon us even though we abandon You.

I remember Your prophet, Zephaniah, declared that You relented of Your punishment of the chosen people and You came to them singing joyfully and renewed them in Your love - wow!
Grant that I may rejoice always in this vale of tears knowing Your Son came for us and Your Holy Spirit remains with us to bring us Your joy and our salvation.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "rejoice"; a feeling that arises from the heart; "Gaudette" in Latin; the name given to the Third Sunday of Advent for rejoice is the theme of its readings for our Savior has drawn near; in prayer thank God for the great joy of our salvation through His Son and for the grace to live in accordance with Your will so that one day You will bring us to everlasting joy!
