Lectio: Mk 6.30-34

Meditatio: "He said to them, ‘Come away by yourselves and rest a while’.” Mk 6.31
Oratio: O God, You know the importance of taking proper care of ourselves if we are to serve You well.

I remember Jesus told His disciples after they returned from their first missionary journey to go away by yourselves and rest. In prayer remember that to best serve the Lord we must be good stewards of our own bodies.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
 God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:"Come away... rest”; the body needs proper care in order to function well and that means quiet rest from time to time. Seek the grace to be always mindful of one’s needs and especially the need for proper rest so as to fulfil one’s duties in life and especially one’s duties to the Lord.

Tomorrow's reading:Mk 1,29-39
