2.18.15

 Lectio: Lk 9.22-25

Meditatio: "Then he said to all,’If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me’.” Lk 9.23

Oratio: O God, Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light but that is what You impose on Your children for that is what is meant to do Your will and carry our cross daily.

I remember Jesus made this a condition of discipleship. Our cross is so much easier than His cross for it is simply doing the will of our Heavenly Father, which means simply loving Him, which is the source of true delight Pray to be always mindful of the conditions of our discipleship and let love always be out guide in all things.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
 God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:"to come...deny...cross”; Christ’s cross was doing His Father’s will and our daily cross is the same if we are His followers.  Seek the grace to do God’s will each day and without any merit on our part  that will be enough to insure we do not lose our life.

Tomorrow's reading:Mt 9.14-15
