2.09.15

Lectio:  Mk 7.1-13

Meditatio: "You disregard God’s commandments but cling to human tradition.” Mk 7.8

Oratio: O God, You are so patient with us and put up with our know it-all attitude and actions.
I remember the Jewish religious leaders had adopted traditions which took precedent over Your commandments. Jesus noted this in His defense of His disciples actions of ignoring them. In prayer remember the commandments of the Lord given to us through Moses and interpreted for us by the Church are to govern  our actions so that they may be always pleasing to the Lord and have  our priorities right.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
 God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:"disregard....God’s....cling...human tradition”; How arrogant of us to put our tradtions before God’s. Seek the grace to be a   humble and contrite child of God and carry out His wishes and commands to the best of our ability and we will with His grace and our actions will be pleasing to Him.
