2.28.15

Lectio:   Mk 9.2-10

Meditatio: “He hardly knew what to say, they were so terrified.” Mk 9.6

Oratio: O God, You glorified Your Son by transfiguring Him before three of His disciples.

I remember the three were all terrified by this event and Peter hardly knew what to say. But he would remember it for decades when he wrote his second epistle. In prayer thank God for the glorification He gave to Jesus at His transfiguration for together with the ultimate glory God gave Him at His resurrection, God gave us Your imprimatur on our faith.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
 God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:"what...say,,,,terrified”; Peter, James and John were all terrified by Jesus’ Transfiguration - wouldn’t you have been if you were there?  Seek the grace to know it is O.K. to be silent especially in the presence of God. Resolve this Lent to spend silent time in meditation contemplating the glory of God and you will be blest by His presence.
