2.07.15

Lectio: Mk 1,29-39

Meditatio: "He cured many who were sick with various diseases, and he drove our many demons, not permitting them to speak because they knew him.” Mk 1. 34

Oratio: O God, Your Son showed by His actions that you value highly those who are most vulnerable it life - the sick and the suffering.

I remember Jesus cured not only Peter’s mother-in -law, but all that were brought to Him showing by His actions that You care for even the most vulnerable. In prayer give thanks to God for the value He places on all of us and the mystery of pain and evil will turn away from our God.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
 God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:"He cured....many”; Jesus through His words and His actions showed most clearly the value that God places on all including the most vulnerable. Seek the grace to show a similar concern for all who are suffering; and we will grow in a greater love for the Lord despite the mystery of physical and moral evil.

Tomorrow's reading: Mk6.53-56
