5.14.14

Lectio: Jn 13.16-20

Meditatio: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me." Jn 13.20

Oratio: O God, how gracious You are!

I remember Jesus proclaimed that in receiving the one He sends, is to revive Him and the One who sent Jesus.

Grant that I may always recognize You in the emissaries of the Church and receive them and listen to them.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: "receives ....one I send.....receives"; Jesus in His wisdom assured us we can rely on those He sent for in receiving them we receive Him. Seek the grace to be opened to those whom Jesus sends for to be closed means we could very well miss an angel of life and love.

Tomorrow's reading: Jn 14.1-6
