Lectio: Jn 15.26-16.4a                                                       

Meditatio: “ I [Jesus] have told you this so that you may not fall away.” Jn 16.1

Oratio: O God, You know that forewarned is forearmed.                                 

I remember Jesus told His disciples that they would be persecuted and their persecutors will think they are serving God; and it came to be. In prayer seek the grace to remain in Jesus’ love no matter how trying the times for it is through Him and in Him that we shall overcome.

Grant that I may always stay close to Your Son’ and give You honor and glory here on earth for that is the way back to You.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:  "told you...not fall”; Jesus warned His disciples in advance that they would be persecuted by God fearing people so they would not be dismayed and overcome by such persecutions. In prayer seek the grace to stay close to Jesus no matter what happens in life for He alone is the way to eternal life - our destiny.
