5.18.14
Lectio: Jn 14.21-26
Meditatio: “Whoever has my commandments and observes them it the one who loves me.” Jn 14.21a
Oratio: O God, You have revealed how we are to love you!
I remember Jesus told us that if we keep His commandments, He loves us and You will also love us. So love is the answer to how we are to relate; and love is based on the commandments which are how we are to remain in right relationship with You, others and ourselves. May love be my motive for all I do and then You can do with me as You will for I am Yours.
Grant that I may always love You with my whole heart, my whole soul and my whole strength for that is the least I can do for all You do for me.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.
Operatio: reflect: "commandments,..observes...loves me”; God’s commandments are all baaed on love of God, neighbor and self; and they are guides as to how specifically we ought to love IN prayer seek the grace to keep God’s commandments and we will be greatly blest for we will be loved by Him.
