Lectio: 7.26.13

Lectio: Mt 13:24-30

Meditatio: "He replied, 'No, if you pull up the weeds you might uproot the wheat along with them. Let them grow together until harvest'." Mt 13.29-30a

Oratio:"O  God, You are so kind and merciful!
I remember You son made this clear in the parable about an enemy sowing weeds amongst the weeds and He instructed the workers to wait until harvest tine before pulling them up and we all know that Jesus has the power to bring about a change at the very core.
Grant that I may be ever mindful that God is kind and merciful and pray incessantly for myself and for those whose lives I touch to become what God desires of us - true and devoted children of His.

Contemplatio: "spend some time and reflect on "weeds...wheat"; the bad and the good; God has the power to bring about a change at the very substance of our being if we are open to Him; in prayer seek the grace for self and for those whose lives we touch to be always open to God's will.

Tomorrow's reading: Lk 11.1-13
