Lectio: 7.31.13

Mt 13.47-53

Meditatio: "The kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind." Mt 13:47

Oratio: O God, You want all to return to You at the end of their earthly time.
I remember Your Son made Your desire known when He declared the kingdom collects fish of  every kind.
Grant that I may never prejudge the flotsam I may find around, for he or she may very well be the next saint.I ask all things through Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with You, and the Holy Spirit. One God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect on "net ...sea"; a fishing net is unthinking and does not discriminate between what it takes in when cast; similar God does not discriminate when He made the world and His Net will collect all who do His Will. In prayer seek the grace to know His Will and to do it and refrain from judging others.

Tomorrow's reading: Mt 13:54-58
