Lectio: Mt 16.24-28               

Meditatio: “Then Jesus said, ‘Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me’.’ Mt 16.24              
    
Oratio: O God, Your Son gave us the ticket to the kingdom - “selfless love” and doing Your will  for that is what is meant by taking up one’s cross. Pray that each day we punch our ticket and strive to live a life os selfless love and do what You want us to do for therein lies our wonderful destiny.


I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You.
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operatio:  reflect: "deny himself..cross”; if we focus on Jesus and what He wants of us, we will find true happiness and we will find that our daily cross is not heavy for Jesus’ helps us to carry it. Seek the grace of a humble and contrite heart, one that reaches out to others for their sake and not for what one gets out it;  and Jesus, our Brother will be pleased and we will one day be greatly blest for we will have lived the way that leads to the kingdom.
