Lectio: Mt 17.14-20                           

Meditatio: “Then the disciples approached Jesus in private and said, ‘Why could we not drive it out’?: Mt  17.19              
    
Oratio: O God, Your Son gave His disciples the power to heal and to cast out demons but on one occasion that failed to drive out a demon and they asked Jesus why and He told them it was a lack of faith. In payer seek a faith that is other-centered and not self-centered for that is the faith that can move mountains.


I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You.
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operatio:  reflect: "disciples...why... not drive”; the disciples could not drive out a demon because their faith was self-centered. Seek the grace to believe and act for the sake of others and not simply for one owns’ sake for that it the faith that Jesus wants for us.
