8.18.15

Lectio:  :Mt 20.1-16

Meditatio: “So when the first came, they thought that they would receive more, but each of them also got the usual daily wage.  And on receiving it they grumbled against the landowner.” Mt 20.10-11

Oratio: O God, Your Son made it clear that no matter how late we come to know and serve You in this life, You will give all the same berth in heaven.  Pray that I may love You always and never concern myself with how You treat others -for You are a kind and merciful and generous God, who loves all without measure..

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “first....more...but...got usual”; Jesus assured us that no matter when we come to love Him and His Father, that we will be treated as though we always loved Him and His Father, and we will all have the same share of their eternal love. Seek the grace to imitate the generosity of our God for that is the best way of honoring Him.

Tomorrow's reading: Mt 22.1-14
