8.21.15

Lectio: Mt 23.1-12

Meditatio: “The greatest among you must be your servant.." Mt 23.11

Oratio: O God, Your Son made it clear that You desire humility on the part of those who believe inYou.  Pray that we may always be willing to serve the needs of others and refrain from desiring to be served for that is the way that is most pleasing to You.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “greatest...servant"; humility is the virtue which God so much wants to see in us and it is the way to true greatness. Seek the grace to have the demeanor of a servant so as to please God and achieve our destiny..

Tomorrow's reading: Jn 6.60-69
